Well, things have been going pretty crazy here lately.

Firstly, we should officially announce that Bluebeard Music is now managing, The Phoncurves.
You can read more about this incredible new duo at their website, or simply listen to some of their tunes at their Triple J Unearthed page.
For now though, keep an ear to the ground as The Phoncurves are on the verge of announce their self-titled debut EP.

Texas Tea:
Brisbane’s favourite indie-country-soul two piece have a completed album under wraps.
You can hear the first two singles from the album, “I Don’t Write No Sad Songs” here and  “Heart Says Yes (Head Says No)” here.
You can also buy the accompanying Flexi Disc Single for Sad Songs, or the cassingle for Heart Says at those links.
Texas Tea’s brand new album is called Sad Summer Hits and will be released on the 12th of October through Mere Noise Records.
It’s really amazing, seriously.

If you’re in Brisbane, you catch them this coming Friday, 17th August for TWO SHOWS in one afternoon/evening:

Followed by;

More details on that here.

The guys are also nominated for tomorrow night’s Queensland Music Awards in two categories.
Huge congratulations to them!

Ben Salter:
The incredibly talented Salter, as many of you may know, is currently touring across Europe playing shows and co-writing songs with amazing artists and songwriters. The man is having a ball. Ben has also just released a digital LIVE ALBUM, with 26 songs (!) recorded one balmy summer evening at Melbourne’s Bar Nancy. It includes, all of The Cat, some Gin Club favourites, a couple of new songs PLUS a whole range of most excellent covers. Buy it now from Ben’s bandcamp page.

The Gin Club:
I don’t think I’ve officially announced on the old website that I am now managing the most excellent The Gin Club.
The Gin Club have recently released their first ever live album as well.
Funded by their fans through IndieGoGo, the album has been assembled from a stockpile of live recordings that the band have amassed over their eight year history, including performances at The East Brunswick Club in Melbourne, Brisbane’s Troubadour, and Hobart’s The Brisbane Hotel, to name a few.
You can buy the album/CD/vinyl/tea towel/sticker etc right here.

As above, officially announcing that Bluebeard Music is managing Brisbane ARIA-award winning producer, Magoo!
Magoo has been solidly working hard for the past 12 months recording such fantastic bands such as The Jungle Giants, Hey Geronimo and Sons Of Rico. Check out his facebook page for more info and get in touch if you have any projects that could suit Magoo!
